i've been blogging every day. i promise. just on my imaginary laptop since mine exploded. {or something a little less dramatic} and there was that time when my car started smoking a pack a day like crazy and i pulled a will smith and ran from my car! {just like the mooooovies!} my radiator had holes in it. fixed that {new radiator} and the engine blows on the highway. soooooooo... you could say i was in the dark place that day. when it rains it pours. thats how the saying goes right? kidding. after this week i'm still an optimist. even when i totally ate it on my nightly run! a broken phone and car can't bring me down! {i am woman hear me roar!} and i'm not gonna whine about it. it accomplishes nothing. {okay one big snookie wail "WAHHHHHHHHH"} damn, that felt good.
so lots of changes. the retired lone ranger {old car} is gone. and i'm now driving a car that was made not only before i was born but its safe to say, it was made before my grandparents were born! and i love it. the personality. the COLOR! {everything in the interior is dyed a deep maroon. i burst out laughing every time i get into my car.} and i'm in a new club. the "you drive a truck and so do i" club. i get the wordless head nod when i'm out joyriding driving to work. so thats legit. also it has a tape player.. so a trip to goodwill for some cassette tapes is obviously in order. {if you're gonna drive an old car, you gotta do it right son!} and i've bartered some of my clothes to be able to borrow my little sister's craptastic laptop every now and then! {just kidding emma, it's perfect.. you're perfect! thanks girrrrrl!}
this week was one for the books folks. and i wish i had a better story. like being mauled by a bear and surviving! and i've really just been in the hospital all week. {okay, so i've maybe been watching too much grey's anatomy} reality, its so much more interesting than happily ever after.
and amongst the craziness there has been wonderfulness too.*
like giant burritos.
and dyeing hair pink for a hot second and having a fun pink braid.
and then bleaching it. and having a chunk of white wisdom hair.
purple tights.
and sparkle tights!
okay, tights galore!
lots-o cupcakes-o.
and becoming a CERTIFIED SWIRLER!
making my sisters talk in third person with me.
and then third person turns it to "all knowing" and narrating our adventures.
and trying not to crash the borrowed car while laughing so hard it hurts.
and gossip girl season 3 on dvd fool.
and target.
always target.
kind strangers {re: borrowing a truck and people who help you on the side of the street when your car starts smoking}
and sneaking in cupcakes into the movie theater for movie snacks with friends!
and giant tubs of hummus that make my heart skip a beat.
and at the end of the day all i can do is blast my go-to tune. and dance it out.
keeping it real.
hope your day is spectacularly wonderful and filled to the brim with JOY!
*all my pictures are on my computer. so for now you get to use your imagination to picture all the wonderfulness! ain't that greeeeat!
