Fall is great, why? Well mainly there are two options of things for me to do. I can twirl around outside a midst the changing leaves while wearing my favorite tights&boots combo and holding a fancy latte of sorts or I can wear my favorite flannel pajamas and curl up on my favorite spot on the couch with Wensley while eating cheese and drinking wine and watching Christmas movies in preparation of December. GUYS, ITS HERE! And while I've managed to last this long without having a men-with-scruff-wearing-boots heart attack (who knows what the pumpkin bread currently baking in the oven will do to my heart) here are a few snapshots of my fall so far.
Dinner party extravaganza, pre-vegetable pesto pasta and post total demolition of said meal. (RIP my 'Le bon lait' milk jug. Wensley destroyed it while jumping on the table to eat the remnants of a muffin I left there one morning. THE ONE TIME I DIDN'T FINISH AN ENTIRE MUFFIN.) Lesson learned- you have to eat every bit of your meal in my house or my cat will wreck havoc. (I can handle that.)

My grandmother gifted me with this because can I get a "what what!" if you've got a giant middle child shaped chip on your shoulder. It was a delicious red with a hearty aroma and undertones of berries and 1000 year old oak with just a hint of I don't know what the heck I'm talking about.

Lazy Sundays watching "Sleepless in Seattle" and having a champagne cupcake for breakfast are becoming a necessity for me. Waking up at 6am for work at the bakery takes its toll on me and Wensley. So on Sundays we pretend we are Kate Middleton and get our princess rest.

Wensley loves his Meg Ryan rom coms. He's all like "Mom! I don't know if Harry and Sally are gonna get together!" LOLS all around Wensley, we watched it this morning.. you know what happens!

Nothing like OHMYGOSH-ITS-THAT-TIME-OF-YEAR-AGAIN-HOLIDAYS-&-FALL-&-A-BIRD-JUST-DIED-CAUSE-I-SCREAMED-SO-LOUD like a giant sparkly pumpkin on your front door.

Hope your Friday is simply spectacular!
Fleet Foxes have been on repeat because well there's never a reason to not listen to them. Take me away, Fleet Foxes!

Oh Chelsea.. I loved your post... And I also especially loved that centerpiece! My centerpiece is a napkin holder and some salt shakers.. Surely I can do a little better than that, right? Ahhh...I love Fall!
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend I'm off to stomp on some crunchy leaves...
