dear future mr. chelsea,
i hope you like to clean. because i loathe it.
i'd rather sleep on top of my clothes than put them all away before i go to bed. and dishes stay in the kitchen sink longer than i'd like to admit {no really its embarrassing} and when i finally motivate myself to do the dishes, they then stay in the dishwasher and i pull from it when needed. {june cleaver would be so proud}
i know both our jobs will be us doing what we love, therefore we'll be broke. and i don't mind that. but we won't be able to hire a maid. which leads me back to the main point... i hope you like to clean. {or at the least i hope you have magical powers that make me want to clean. and as long as we're talking magical powers, i'd like to be able to fly too...}
so we got a deal? i'll bake and you clean?
okay cool.

less martha stewart, more lucille ball

hahahah, awesome! I am the same way with the dishes!!! I strongly dislike them and I don't have a dishwasher so they tend to sit for for longer than normal... hahah ;)
ReplyDeletehahahhahaha! Story of my life! I know I have slept on my top of my clothes countless times.. life is just so much easier that way :) Hopefully my hubby likes to fold wherever he is out there!
ReplyDeleteIt's a good job I found Daniel first, or you might have nabbed him for this very purpose! Disturb him when he's wearing Marigolds and regret it!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you'll both be so loved up, and so busy dancing, that you won't even notice the mess! :-)
Great post Chelsea, although my boyfriend is the cleaner in our house and I leave in fear of "messing it up" to much. He's a neat freak.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Sounds like a good plan to me. ;-)
ReplyDeleteyou have me giggling first thing in the morning, doll. thank you!

i love it! my hubby does the dishes around here because i too have a great dislike for them!
ReplyDeleteohmygosh, this post made me laugh. love it!!! from one lucy to another. :)

I second that completely! Too bad Husband came from a true southern family expecting me to cook, clean and generally wait on him hand and foot. Boy was he in for a surprise! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great post. You are way too funny. And I love love love the picture! Sadly in my world, I refuse to cook, so I'm stuck with the cleaning I fear :( haha
ReplyDeleteno joke. i lived with 3 boys before and they were disgusting! if you can find a man who's willing to do all the cleaning definitely marry him! (and bake in nothing but an apron...it will motivate him to do the laundry as well)
ReplyDeleteHhahaha....I love cleaning. My brothers hate it. haha. Luckily for me, Brenton loves doing the dishes. Maybe because he lives with 6 sisters..lol
ReplyDeleteHave a great day my dear.
LOVE!
oh my heavenly stars, you're as cute as a button miss chelsea!
ReplyDeleteHaha, great post! I hate cleaning too, but luckily my guy is a little ocd about everything being organized :) He motivates me to do the same! Still, I would much rather bake...
ReplyDeletehahhahha! i love this! you are too funny! and about the clothes, you should just SEE my bedroom floor. i like to have allllllllllllllllll of my clothes sprawled out across the floor. it's crazy cause i know where everything is. "oooh! i can see the bottom of my tank top i'm wanting to wear today," and "THERE! that's my skirt!"
ReplyDeletei hate cleaning too. best of luck with man hunting! ;)

I dont completely hate cleaning, but if I could find a man who would at least do all the dishes, I would be happy. They are the worst. Cause I will never be able to hire a maid either.
ReplyDeleteHaHa - love it. I'm sort of the same way. I don't mind organizing and sorting things... but dusting, scrubbing and real deep cleaning just isn't my thing. I'm going to be in trouble one day when I need to clean a full home. HaHa.
ReplyDeletei like to clean...and that is what i do for work...clean houses. i refer to myself as a dust assassin to make it more exciting, but it is less than glorious. i can sympathize with future mr. chelsea. and you're too cute. really. :)
ReplyDeleteOnce again, you make me laugh. :D
ReplyDeleteI hate cleaning, too... Ugh.
I already know my husband and I and our kids will have to each do our part...
I freakin love this! I hate cleaning too! Ick :(.
ReplyDeleteVery cute post!! Relationships are indeed all about compromise and yours seems pretty fair. xo
ReplyDeleteyou have the best letters to future mr. chelsea. when he reads these, you wont even have to tell him what to do, he'll just know.
ReplyDeletehaha i love this! my husband and i have a deal, one person cooks, the other does the dishes! it works out well, lately i've been doing more of the cooking! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is really really really cute.
ReplyDeleteI sure my hope my husband loves cleaning, because I don't.
HAHAH this is really adorable!
ReplyDeletehmmm. i personally dont mind cleaning if im in the mood. it gives me time to think and dream and organize my life without just sitting there. i feel very productive, and i honestly cant live in a really messy enviroment.
thats not to say there are times when i HATE cleaning...
;D love the picture!
aw, Chelsea, you always make me smile! this basically sums up my life too: "i know both our jobs will be us doing what we love, therefore we'll be broke" yup yup!
ReplyDelete:)
aaaaamen, sista!
ReplyDeleteHA! I love this, especially because in my marriage, I am the cleaner and my husband does all of the cooking!
ReplyDeleteoh i hate putting dishes away too! i could wash for hours, but putting them away...no thank you! here's hoping the future mr. chelsea will love cleaning!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is so cute! Love it.
ReplyDeleteI hate cleaning too. No fun!
Hahaha I LOVE YOU!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness, this is so me.
ReplyDeleteunfortunately rather than being mr. clean my current squeeze seems to think that he can train me up to be a tidier person, i keep telling him i'm missing the 'clean gene' and it will never happen.
he lives on in hope!
Hehe what a cute post! I'm sort of the opposite of you...I panic when things are just so, neat and tidy. Totally OCD of me, I suppose :)
ReplyDeleteahhhhhhhhhhh I love the title of this post and I love this post you are simply the best women!
ReplyDeleteahahaha, I love your "Dear Mr. Chelsea" posts. They are always so lovely.
ReplyDeletehannah :)
