chels griff coming at you.

urban dictionary defines a chelsea by A truly unique girl who loves movies and hanging out with friends. the most amazing people you will ever find are Chelseas. chicken flavored&lemon scented. deliciously good looking. and also the Part of New York City where all the queens hang out. Fabulous.
i have to say i prefer that definition {espeically about me being a part of new york!} to the meaning that i grew up thinking my name meant- port of ships. {yeah, not the greatest.}

i'm quite goofy. and i think happiness is uncontrollable fits of laughter with the bestest of friends, movie marathons with fresh baked muffins, fresh flowers, board games galore with your sisters, cobblestone roads in rothenburg, memories that come to you on a whim, singing in the shower, putting off cleaning to have a dance party, and counting a swim in the pool as your shower for the day.
i believe in desserts before dinner, instead of dinner, and for breakfast. i believe in smiles to strangers, reading a good book on a saturday night {i know, hopping saturday night!}, and following your dreams. i love to spend my rainy days baking while listening to edith piaf, and wearing my favorite antropologie apron. sunny days are best with a full cup of lemonade, a bike ride to the park and a summer dress.
holidays are top notch in my book. i'm a self-proclaimed holiday cheermister, and i'm okay with that. {it might be my favorite!} i'll always over decorate and celebrate every second. {"HAPPY NEW YEAR!" "chels, its august"} your birthday, my birthday {!!}, easter, valentines day, thanksgiving, halloween, CHRISTMAS! you name it, i love it!
{one of many holiday sweaters}
i am afraid of scary movies {total wimp. i think red eye is the scariest movie i've seen to date, my friends tricked me into seeing zombieland, said it was a comedy, and i ran out screaming within the first 2 minutes. my other scaredy cat friend came to and we went to watch invention of lying. which was amazing}, kidnappers {boo}, growing old alone, not going after dreams or following my instinct, of disappointing my father, and the black smoke monster on lost.
i dream of having my own bakery. i actually have a little book of sweet treats named after people i've met. {whether the impact was big or small} i want to use them to name all the goodies in my bakery. names like lance's lucious lemon bars, and rubi's sublime extremo cookie. {i have dreamt so many vivid dreams of being in chicago, baking all day, and having my funky yet quaint bakery, where i know all the customers by name.} i dream of falling in love and going to paris, going to the french coutryside, eating pizza in italy, and falling more in love every day.
i can't wait to see where my journey takes me.

en chante my friends, en chante.

  4. HELLLOOOO BEAUTIFUL! your smile is genuine.. as i just know your laughter is :)

    i wish i were more "carefree" like this in my pictures :) i never have any shots capturing that and i am always laughing.

    i believe in dessert before dinner and always with a fork (ice cream too). i HATE scary movies... i like them, but i'm a wimp watching them. "The Strangers" ruined my life for awhlie but my girlfriends tricked me into that one during a girls sleepover :)

  5. I've never been able to find the real definition of our name (it wasn't in the baby book.. what?!) So i SO MUCH more prefer the urban dictionary version of Chelsea!

    Anthropologie aprons are adorable!! I want my entire kitchen (heck, my entire house) to be anthropologie! oh it is love

    And our fears are very similar. The scariest i've ACTUALLY seen was the Village (which really isn't that bad, i love that one) I try to avoid scary movies. but especially the growing old alone is what i'm scared of.

    Aren't you going to chicago soon?

    as usual, LOVE your blog!!
