own that ponytail.. WORK THAT UP DO!

i'm pretty sure any moment now the government is going to be knocking down my door to stop me from giving hair advice. but alas until they find me i'll try my best to attempt a hair how to! a life full of frizzy hair {the 4th chapter in my e true hollywood story} will force you to become pretty crafty at up dos and taming the wild rumpus of craziness! so here is a super easy step by step guide for the hair style in my last post!

if you have bangs than let them do their thannng. but if you don't then its best to pin back the front section of your hair, slightly to the side. or if your bangs decided to take the day off then you can pin them back too!
but since my bangs were cooperating {gasp!} i decided to leave them down for this one! divide your hair into 4 even sections. {kind of like top right, bottom right, top left, bottom left}

and braid each section. use a ponytail to keep the braids from falling out, but once you pin it back you'll take them out! i like to do teeny little braids within the big braids cause in the end the little braids will peek out and i just like it! but you don't have it. just keep braiding! {isn't that how dory's song goes?}
once you have all 4 braids you can revel in the fact of how silly you look. maybe bust a move. feel like a convict. you know. straight up pimpin with your bad self.

mmkay, serious again.
kind of mess up the braids a tad so they aren't perfect.
its better if its a little messy.
kind of like life!
{i'm just a big ball of cheese today!}

so take the bottom right braid {take off the pony tail} and make a circle around your head. it will be more like a half circle. take one bobby and pin the end of the braid. then take another and pin the middle. {if you have heavy duty bobby pins then use them for pinning the middle part of the braid for it to be extra secure} i use about two regular bobby pins and one heavy duty bobby pin per braid.
then take the top right braid and complete the circle. so it will be on top and then just fix it so its just swirling into the middle. then bobby pin your little heart out!
{so my computer camera may not have shined during this task...}
but you can see here how you're kind of pinning the braids to make a swirl! the bottom braid is the lower part of the circle and the top braid is the top. then grab the other bottom braid and pin it so it swirls into the rest of the empty space and fills it up.
then grab the last top braid and pin it along the bottom. basically just taking it along the bottom part of the braided circle you already did and pinning it up on the other side. then just secure it with bobby pins through out. my goal was to create a hair style similar to this but just not as harsh.

hair spray it like crazzzy. {i mean i was born in the south. i'm allowed an extreme love for hair spray.. right? cause tracy turnblad ain't got nothing on me!} then kind of run your fingers through just making a little more messy if you want.

TADA!
i hope that helped at all! and i hope you have an easy go to up do now! it also looks super cute with a scarf tied around or any kind of headband.

hope you are having a FAB-U-LOUS hair day!
because let face it.. you should feel fabulous today!

  24. Wow, I love this! I'm going to attempt this, but I've got thin hair. I'm not sure it will look as fabulous as yours!

    As for my extensions, I bought them at Sally's Beauty Supply. They clip in my hair and don't fall out. They totally match the color of my hair and they're 100% human hair. You can curl them, dye them, hairspray them, whatever. They're just super!
