to market, to market

here are some of my other purchases from the flea market! {i had to let my boots shine and star in their own post} but i found some other gems too. the nashville flea market is all kinds of wonderful. it happens on the last weekend of every month. so i like to believe it lets people save up all their goodness for one major explosion of awesomeness. plus i'm a master bargainer and i love to get the price as low as possible. so how about everyone comes on down at the end of july and we can have a weekend filled with bargins and flea market!

my carrie bradshaw purse!
i'm slightly obsessed with this. its like a gold shell guarding my phone, keys, and wallet for a night out on the town! my friend actually found it and showed me because she knew without a doubt i would love it. {the guy was asking 10 bucks for it and i got him down to 6! CAN I GET A WHAT WHAT!} also the chain was super short and i wanted a long strap so i just used an old necklace chain to make it longer!

i wanted to buy every old antique plate i saw. {which was about a billion} but i settled on these two for 2 bucks each! so now i can eat my muffins while pretending i'm queen of a faraway land and joseph gordon-levitt is by my side. {yes, i get all that from a plate. hooray for imaginations!}

expanding my collection of vases! i used to use le sueur pea cans to hold my flowers so i'm moving on up on the vase food chain! {the lady was asking $8 for this but i bartered and bargained my way down to $6!}

it down-poured while we were there so everything outside got drenched. but it turned out to be good news for me because i was looking for uber cheap frames to hang up on my wall and since these got wet i got the lady to give them to me for 50 cents each!

after my BOOTS, these vintage dresses are my second best purchase! i've been in love with blue lately and these dresses fit the bill! plus i asked for a special deal since i was getting two of them so i got them both for $16 total!! the lady that was selling them said that all the dresses were her great aunts {she kept all her old dresses!} and so that puts these dresses from the 40s-50s. and in excellent condition!! i couldn't believe how lucky i was to stumble upon them!

hope your day is simply the best and filled with some thriftiness!

p.s. on the subect on thrifty, have you heard of shop it to me? they offer sweet discounts {i'm signed up for j.crew and anthropologie} and you can get FREE GIFT CARDS! i've already gotten $30 to starbucks and $20 to urban outfitters!! click here to sign up!

double p.s. justine is offering this great deal at her blog, she does great blog designs and she is doing them for dirt cheap! HOORAY for saving money!

  1. That all looks so amazing, I wish the flea markets near where I lived had even a little bit as much cool stuff as that one does!

    The only thing I can ever find at mine is half broken electronics and knock off purses.
