something smells fishy.

what do you do when its a rainy thursday night?
for me personally, i think its the best time to grab a friend and go shopping for a pet fish! all you have to do is find the shadiest store ever, and enjoy the ride. we were trying to decide between critter barn {my pick} and fins n' skins. critter barn was closed, sadly. so off the fins n' skins we were.
{sketch central}
the stank when we walked in. oh boy, glorious.
i could barely breathe.

real live conversation between the family buying the lizard dragon and a very tired employee.
"now, it alright if we leave this new komono dragon in car for a couple hours. we gots to make a walmart run. we'll just wrap him up in this here shirt."
"um, hm. i really couldn't recommend that."
"alright den, how bouts we bring him in the coat pocket."
"i guess that's better.. but he really shou..."
"kay. hey boy, put him in your pocket."
hold the phone disney,
i found NEMO!
the strangest fish i ever did see.
Amnemonemomne.

"I am a nice shark, not a mindless eating machine. If I am to change this image, I must first change myself. Fish are friends, not food."
a proud mama.
"don't worry, we are taking you to a better place, lucy"
far. far. far away.
darla, the brace face, bag-shaking, fish destroyer from finding nemo.
remember her?
well here she is all grown up.
lucy, meet richard. your new partner in life!
its a long distant relationship because you guys would completely destroy each other if you ever shared a fish bowl!
and i know everyone wants to go rescue a beta fish from fins n' skins.
i hope your weekend is filled with adventures, triumphs, and laughs galore.

  6. true story, i went with my friend emma to get a gold fish, and we were deemed unfit parents to the fish. they didn't trust us.

to be fair, i just wanted rid of the goldfish bowl so i offered to buy my friend emma a fish, mainly to get rid of the tank thing but also because emma is hot and i thought she might find it nice to be bought a goldfish.

anyways i didn't get the girl and she didn't get the goldfish.

  10. critter barn is the funniest pet shop name i've ever heard.

my sister used to have a beta fish when she was like 6 (so i was 3)... and one day when sister was napping the fish died, so my mom had her friend come over to watch us while she dashed to the pet store and bought a new one and got back before my sister woke up. except they didn't have the same color, so my mom told her that the fish changed color. and for some reason i believed that betas could change color too. and i believed that until very recently...

  13. oh wow- im follower 100... that makes me feel kinda special!

I think buying a fish is the perfect thing to do when bored.

Though everytime i do that i get bored of the fish as soon as its time to clean the tank and i give it away...But that first month is always very special :)
